Privacy
The short version: your records are yours. We keep what the app needs to work, we do not sell it, and we do not show you ads.
What we keep
- Your account: your name, email address and password. The password is stored scrambled, so nobody, including us, can read it.
- Your business details: what you put on your invoices, such as your business name, address, logo, banner, signature and how clients can pay you.
- Your work: clients, projects, time you log, invoices, payments you record and the emails the app sends for you.
- When a client opens an invoice: the time they open the link you sent them, so you know it reached them. Nothing else about them is recorded.
Why we keep it
Only to run Simple Invoice for you: to show you your work, make and send your invoices, keep track of what has been paid, and email you about your account, such as confirming your address or resetting a password.
Your clients' details
The client names, email addresses and other details you add are kept for you, and used only to make and send your invoices. Your clients see only the invoices you send them.
Who else handles it
We use a small number of services to run the app: a hosting company that stores the data, and an email delivery service that sends invoices and account emails. They handle your information only to provide that service to us. We do not sell your information or share it for advertising.
Counting visits
We count how many times our public pages are opened each day, and which website a visitor came from. That is a number, not a record of you: no cookie is set for it, and no address or browser details are kept.
Cookies
We use one cookie to keep you signed in and one that protects your forms from being misused. Your choice of light or dark screen is remembered in your own browser. There are no advertising or tracking cookies.
Your rights
Under the Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012 you can ask to see the information we hold about you, correct it, get a copy, or have it deleted. You can correct most of it yourself in Settings, and download your invoices, payments and clients as spreadsheets from the Income page. For anything else, including closing your account, write to us.
How long we keep it
For as long as your account is open. If you ask us to close it, we delete your information, except anything the law requires us to keep for longer.
Keeping it safe
Pages are sent over an encrypted connection, passwords are stored scrambled, and each account can only ever see its own records.
Changes and questions
